"Petal" is the title track and second single from Petal, the eighth studio album by Ariana Grande. It was released on July 31, 2026 through Republic Records and her own imprint, Babydoll. Grande wrote and produced it with Ilya Salmanzadeh and Max Martin.
It is an R&B song with hip-hop and pop rock touches, built on distorted synthesizers, guitars and booming bass. The lyrics look at the emotional toll of fame and artistic vulnerability, and at Grande's defiant response to public scrutiny. She first performed it live during her Eternal Sunshine Tour.
