About the song: "Aperture"
"Aperture" is the lead single from Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally, the fourth studio album by Harry Styles. It was released on January 23, 2026 through Erskine and Columbia Records, and the album followed on March 6, 2026. Styles wrote the electropop track with longtime collaborator Kid Harpoon, who also produced it.
Before the release, Styles left cryptic messages around the world, including the line "let the light in", which turned out to be a lyric from the song. The title itself means "opening", and many fans read it as the start of a new musical era.
Chart success
"Aperture" debuted at number one on both the UK Singles Chart and the US Billboard Hot 100, giving Styles his third number one in both countries. It also topped the Billboard Global 200 and the Irish chart.
The music video
The official video was released the same day as the song. Directed by Aube Perrie and filmed at the Westin Bonaventure Hotel in Los Angeles, it draws inspiration from Spike Jonze's "Weapon of Choice" video and the film Dirty Dancing.
